Happy New Year

Hello reading writers wherever you are, and I presume all of those who are near Salisbury will be at Deacon’s on Fisherton Street tonight for a Christmas drink with a whole host of talented playwrights.

I’ve been brushing off my quill in readiness for 2012’s first meeting of the emerging playwrights with the fabulous Angela Street (who also has many other course for budding playwrights at both the Salisbury Arts Centre and the Salisbury Playhouse). In the spirit of recycling I’ve been busy rehashing a play I wrote last year to turn into a short which I can maybe send into a competition like Drama Association of Wales’ One Act Play writing comp. or the Tobacco Factory’s Script Space comp. – there’s lots of choice in the coming months if you would like to peruse my other pages just to the right of where you’re looking now.

.                                                                                                                                                               And a bit further…

I have also added Exeter’s Bikeshed Theatre to the on-going page as a reader of new scripts so that page is looking very juicy now.

Comedy writers might like to know that the new series of Newsjack starts in February, and they have a ‘Best of’ program here. Details will be available soon somewhere around here.

Hope this is the beginning of a successful new year for you all (and me please).

Happy writing X
